The
Breton Group is a Michigan-based regional development consulting firm
committed exclusively to nonprofit organizations. Since 1994 we have
successfully utilized our staff’s combined 70+ years experience to
assist more than 175 churches, community and faith-based organizations,
schools and education organizations, and Michigan public libraries
in raising more than $170 million.
Public Libraries
Many
Michigan libraries need renovation, expansion or a totally new facility.
Such projects require careful and strategic planning if they are to
generate the necessary private and public funding within their communities.
The Breton Group works with Michigan libraries of all sizes, assisting
them in developing appropriate space and funding plans, measuring
community support and guiding them through capital campaigns and millage/bond
votes. We use a proven process that begins building awareness, involvement
and momentum from the outset and sets the stage for successful fundraising
and voter approval.
Churches
Meeting
the financial and facility needs of a growing congregation and expanding
ministries can be a challenging prospect. The Breton Group successfully
guides churches through capital and debt retirement campaigns using
the principles of Christian stewardship as a foundation for giving.
We provide leadership training, materials and a proven method of involving
members that result in a successful project and enhance long-term
stewardship of time, talent and treasure.
Faith-Based Organizations
Faith-based organizations undertake important and
necessary work in their communities. We help faith-based organizations
advance their ministries through the planning and implementation of
development programs, designing and implementing annual and planned
giving programs, grant writing and conducting feasibility studies,
capital and endowment campaigns.
Schools
Strong communities offer educational options -
public, private and parochial schools. Our work with schools, school
districts and educational foundations focuses on meeting both their
immediate and long-term financial needs. We offer campaign planning
and grant writing as well as conduct feasibility/advancement studies
and capital campaigns to support new and renovated facilities and
to build endowment funds. We also direct the planning and implementation
of development programs and design annual and planned giving programs.
Education
At the
foundation of every growing and desirable community is a strong educational
system that offers public, private and parochial school options. We
work with schools, school systems, school districts and educational
foundations to address their immediate and long-term financial needs.

Community Organizations
Non-profit

of our communities. The Breton Group works to strengthen non-profits,
including arts and cultural organizations, children’s groups and

and funding needs. We partner with staff, board and volunteers to
assess funding opportunities, identify and train leadership and
develop and implement effective strategies to generate vital support
through annual, planned giving, endowment and capital campaigns.
